Another whistle went off, but from where Mark couldn't tell. A few seconds later, a large boy, easily over 6 feet tall, who looked like he was covered in metal, strode from the forest. The metal was slowly changing as he walked, fading into human skin as he approached the gazebo.

A few seconds later, although Mark clearly hadn't look up in a while, a figure burst from the surrounding trees to the sky above. Mark only noticed because of the shower of leaves that erupted with them- the figure having descended into the trees in order to deliver the penalty.

Now, having spotted and assigned Piotr his penalty, Warren had flown back upwards, and for the first time since they parted inside, Mark saw him.

The inherited billionare was hovering above the trees, a whistle loosely clenched between his teeth, ready to assign any other penalties he spotted. The boggling thing was that he was doing so with enormous white wings. Mark had seen the pictures, but they looked insignificant in comparison to what he now saw. The powerful muscles were flapping casually, keeping Worthington steadily a good ten feet or so up from the canopy of the low forest as he scanned the students below him with sharpened vision. Blonde hair whipping slightly in the light breeze, that was more present in the air he floated in than on the ground, Warren looked surprisingly like...well, an angel, for all the irony Mark would later appreciate, and the sight was stunning.

Jean had once noted that Warren looked most beautiful when his wings were spread- a sentiment Ororo had immediately agreed with. Even the males of the Mansion had to appreciate the equisite grace Warren displayed when he was in the air. For all the business-like show he put on, and for however natural he made it seem, none of it could compare to the utter relaxation and content present in the young man's face as he flew suspended above the Mansion grounds, watching the younger students in their game freely. And indeed, Warren was content, fulfilled, even, as he dove to the side, cutting the air with a swift motion of his wings to move his patrol across the playing area.

By now, there was a relatively large pile of students sitting by the gazebo. "Bobby" had been joined not only by the tall metallic boy, but a boy with slicked back blond hair and a girl with dark raven hair who was leaning against him slightly discussing something. Beside her, the girl Mark had seen earlier let off an impressive display of fireworks sat heckling the opposing team.

While Warren's wings had stunned him (and made him wonder vaugely what the Bohemian Angel would have looked like had he/she possessed Wings), it was more that fact that he had yet to see two mutations which were alike.

Mark had never been very scientific, in fact he'd dropped out as soon as he could back in Scarsdale, but suddenly he wanted to know, wanted to learn all about the subtle (or in the giant Cookie Monster and Worthington's case) not so subtle changes that had occured in their bodies over night.

Shifting his eyes back up to the sky, he continued to watch Worthington in his element, surprised at how different he seemed. While the wings inhanced his pretty boy looks, they also gave him a strange sense of humanity, and Mark knew that if Worthington had looked like this when they'd walked into the Life (although, perhaps with a Shirt as the Life did have a policy on that) that his first encounter with Collins would have gone better. Not so much because of his mutation, but because of ability to not seem like Yuppie Scum.

Scott had checked his watch whenever a student was sent in, keeping mental track of how long each of them had until their penalties were up. He glanced at Mark, who seemed to be more enthralled then shocked with what was going on in front of him. Warren's judgement was starting to look better.

He nudged Mark with his elbow, tilting his head towards him.

"This is our happy home," he mused, the most genuinely proud smile Mark had seen yet quirking his lips up slightly.
